A historic Guelph neighbourhood is bringing the city together with a new festival this month.
Praise The Ward, set for Saturday, Sept. 23, is being called a celebration of all things in The Ward.
The festival will feature over 40 events at 20 venues around The Ward, plus things like a walking tour, a cycling tour and a scavenger hunt.
Other features include music, food, about 50 craft market vendors, workshops, kids activities, write and perform a song with James Gordon, yoga, two art galleries, a puppet show and more.
It starts at 10 a.m. and runs all day. A full schedule and map can be found on the festival website.
There will also be a kickoff concert at Guelph Little Theatre on Friday, Sept. 22, featuring Tragedy Ann and Josh Gabriel.
Tickets are $40, and can be purchased online, but it's considered voluntary and will help pay for artists and programming. Many of the events are free.
