Several months after its pending arrival was announced, a new ramen restaurant has opened its doors in Guelph.
Kinton Ramen is operating out of the 78 Gordon St., on the corner with Wellington St., in the building previously home to a cheque cashing business and before that a Quiznos Subs store.
“Our team has worked diligently to create a space that not only serves exceptional ramen but also embodies the warmth and energy of Japanese dining,” said Karalyn White, senior director of franchising development at KINKA Family, which oversees Kinton Ramen, in a news release. “We look forward to welcoming the Guelph community and serving them ‘a bowl of happiness.’”
The restaurant will operate with reduced hours as workers ‘settle in,’ the release states. Those run from noon until 8 p.m.
Plans to open the local franchise were announced in February.
