A bright thing, a very bright thing, appeared in the skies over Guelph on Friday.
It hovered there, periodically dipping behind the clouds, far too bright to stare at for any length of time.
It was not an entirely unwelcome or unfriendly presence, especially after consistently gray and rainy days of late.
The bright, even warm orb, moved ever so slowly across the sky, lighting up everything beneath it. It proved difficult to photograph due to its blinding intensity.
According to some predictions, there could be additional sightings of the fiery disk on Saturday and Sunday. Watch for it.
