A new mixed cribbage league is in the works in Guelph.

The league would run every Tuesday during the winter, beginning September 26 at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 234.

The legion at 57 Watson Pkwy. S. is where the Guelph Men's Cribbage League "was a fixture for 50 years." According to GMCL committee member Bob Coole, it's hoping to start the new league if there is interest.

"With the COVID-19 pandemic in the rear view mirror, it is time to bring social gatherings back," he said in a news release.

Depending on how many people express interest, the goal is to have eight to 10 players per team.
