Judith Nasby, the founding director and curator of the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre now known as the Art Gallery of Guelph, is launching her latest book with an upcoming event.

The former head of what is now the Art Gallery of Guelph is launching her latest book with an event close to home.

The Guelph Historical Society welcomes Judith Nasby for a chat on Tuesday, Oct. 3 to launch her latest book, Kiviog's Journey to the Donald Forster Sculpture Park.

It's being called a "pilgrimage" through the local park – located on the same property as the Art Gallery of Guelph – where readers will learn about the 41 outdoor installations on the 2.5 acre property, which were created by Canadian and international artists.

Nasby will also chat about her 2021 book The Making of a Museum.

Nasby was the longtime director and curator of the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre, and is now the curator emerita of the Art Gallery of Guelph.

The book launch and talk is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Guelph Civic Museum on Norfolk Street.
