Local students collect over 3,500 of items for Salvation Army

The holiday initiative was led by St. Ignatius' Grade 8 students from the Grads Give Back Committee

In the spirit of giving back students collected over 3,500 items for a student led initiative.

Grade 8 students from the Grads Give Back Committee at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic School led the holiday initiative called 12 Days of Giving. The school collected 3,677 items for the Salvation Army.

The initiative was started by Wellington Catholic District School Board teacher Lisa Mirotta and has been going on for three years. She thought it would be a great way for students to get involved with their school and the greater community.
