GuelphToday received the following letter to the editor from Karl Morant:

In the next few weeks the Ontario government will be sending cheques our way.

This is wrong for all kinds of reasons. We could spend the money on beer, popcorn and Fortnight, but I have an idea to make 'lemonaid' from lemons.

Those that can could donate the money.

Foodbanks are in need of funds to help feed people. Giving them money is far better than donating food. They can stretch dollars to buy way more food than we individually can.

Make the choice to donate some or all to your local food bank.
