Keeping things cool on Hot Summer Nights (12 photos)

The Guelph Fire Department held the first Hot Summer Nights event Thursday at Margaret Greene Park

The Guelph Fire Department supplied the water and the fun Thursday night at Margaret Greene Park at the first Hot Summer Nights event.

Children got a chance to get cooled off by a fire hose, chat with first responders and check out some of the equipment on their fire truck in the 75 minute event.

Three more Hot Summer Nights events are planned: July 20 at Exhibition Park, Aug. 3 at Waverley Drive Park and Aug. 17 at Riverside Park.

Last year’s Hot Summer Nights events were cancelled due to a water ban in the city.
