John F. Ross inducts six into its new hall of fame

John F. Ross high school is starting its own Hall of Fame and the first six inductees have been announced.

John Francis Ross, the noted Guelph educator and principal after whom the school is named, is one of the six to be inducted at a ceremony on Apr. 29 at the school.

The others are:

  • E. Lorne Fox, the school's first principal.
     
  • Steve Redmond, former student, educator, member of the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame and leader in the local Special Olympics movement.
     
  • David Card, former student, noted labour economist and a professor at University of California–Berkeley.
     
  • Marlene Truscott, former student who worked tirelessly to help exonerate her husband Stephen Truscott.
     
  • David Neil Trifunovich, former student and noted special effects supervisor for a wide range of television and movies.
