Looking to lift the holiday spirits of people in need, Guelph’s Holiday Angels is planning to hand out gift baskets, and it’s calling for community donations to help it fill them.
Guelphites are asked to buy a gift basket through Creative Edge, which is then to be distributed by volunteers to numerous community organizations, as well as to seniors living in isolation, newcomers to Canada and others.
Last year saw 185 baskets handed out, said Holiday Angels co-founder Kyla Rowntree, in an email to GuelphToday.
This will be the group’s fifth season.
