Guelph’s Bonnie Trash is back with a new EP

The shoegaze/post-punk drone project will kick off their release with a show on Oct. 5

Local band Bonnie Trash is back with a new EP, and they’ll be celebrating with a release show on Oct. 5.

Twins Emmalia and Sarafina Bortolon-Vettor are the forces behind the darkened shoegaze/ post-punk drone project, which just released its three-song EP dubbed ‘My Love Remains the Same,’ including the single, ‘Kisses Goodbye.’

Emma Howarth-Withers plays bass on the three tracks, with Dana Bellamy on drums.

The EP, as they describe, is a soundtrack to the horror stories they want to tell, “drawing inspiration from social commentary, the supernatural, and ancestral folklore.”

The release show is happening on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Tabu/The Underground, alongside Toronto band Gloin and Burner. Advanced tickets can be purchased online for $16.

Tickets at the door are $20. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. It’s 19+ and a cash bar only. More information about the event can be found here

There will be a free official afterparty at Jimmy Jazz featuring Goth Night DJs COOLGUYWHOLELIFE + berschirker.
