Beer lovers far and wide are in for a treat as the Guelph.Beer Bus returns this spring for its fourth year. Created as a collaboration between Guelph’s local brewers in 2019, the Guelph.Beer Bus is a free shuttle service that runs on select Saturdays with stops at the unique brewpubs, beer halls, and tap rooms that the city has to offer.

Over the years, the Guelph.Beer Bus has become a popular attraction for local beer enthusiasts as well as beer lovers from across Ontario and beyond. Last year the initiative was recognized as ‘Culinary Tourism Event of the Year’ at the Ontario Tourism Summit and saw over 10,000 bus boardings.

“People love the Guelph.Beer Bus because it’s a free, inclusive, and fun way to discover your new favourite brewery” says Cam Fryer, owner of Royal City Brewing.

In 2024, the Guelph.Beer Bus will run one Saturday per month from April to November with six brewery stops including the addition of Wrinkly Bear Brewing, who recently relocated to Guelph, joining Royal City, Sleeman, Fixed Gear, Brothers, and Wellington as destinations.

You can catch the Guelph.Beer Bus running from 12-7pm on the following Saturdays:

  • April 13, 2024
  • May 11, 2024
  • June 15, 2024
  • July 13, 2024
  • August 17, 2024
  • September 14, 2024
  • October 12, 2024
  • November 16, 2024 (Guelph.Beer Day)

The Guelph.Beer Bus is free to ride, open to everyone, and provides a safe and accessible way to visit your favourite local breweries. The group will be accepting donations to help support a scholarship fund for BIPOC students to attend the Niagara College Brewing Program.

“Projects like the Guelph.Beer Bus have provided a unique opportunity for Guelph’s local breweries to work together and build something truly special” says Brad McInerney, Marketing Director at Wellington Brewery.

As part of each beer bus, breweries will be offering a lineup of locally brewed beer including year-round classics and small-batch specialty beers. Many breweries will also be offering pop-up food vendors, food trucks, and tap room activities including live music, DJ’s, photo booths, and other interactive fun.
