BRANTFORD – Special teams and Brayden Gillespie led the way Wednesday night as the Guelph Storm snapped a nine-game losing streak with a well-earned 4-1 win over he Brantford Bulldogs.
Guelph scored twice on the power play and once shorthanded in the game, killing off all five Brantford power plays.
Charlie Paquette scored twice for the Storm, the second into an empty net. Jett Luchanko had a shorthanded breakaway goal and Daniil Skvortsov also scored.
Brayden Gillespie was rock solid in net, making 24 saves.
Guelph hosts the Erie Otters Friday at 7 p.m. then London Sunday at 2 p.m.
