Guelph Soccer has cancelled all programming Tuesday night due to the current air quality health index.
"The health and safety of our members is top priority," said an email sent to all parents mid-afternoon.
"We will continue to monitor the air quality health index for the rest of the week. Members can expect a daily update by 3pm until further notice."
Guelph is currently part of a broad air quality statement due to ongoing forest fires that recommends stopping outdoor activities.
"High levels of air pollution are possible due to smoke from forest fires," says Environment Canada.
"Wildfire smoke can be harmful to everyone’s health even at low concentrations. Continue to take actions to protect your health and reduce exposure to smoke."
