The Guelph Public Library is willing to cut you a little slack on your overdue book fines if you're willing to stop by in December.
The library will waive any overdue book fines (up to a maximum of $99) for anyone who attends one of its programs in the month of December.
"Many people cringe with embarrassment at the mention of overdue fines. At some point in our life, we have all innocently forgotten to return a library item (or two or three). We get it. We live in a busy world," said a library news release.
"This December, the Guelph Public Library wants to spread some festive cheer and make it easier for you to say goodbye to late fines."
Attend any program and receive a special attendance card that can be handed in at any library service desk to have the fine expunged from the records. The cards are good until Dec. 31.
