Guelph family donates $2 million to Ronald McDonald House

The Tucker Family Trust's donation serves as the largest in the charity’s 30 year history

A Guelph family is making history with their $2 million donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario has ever seen. 

It’s the largest donation the charity has ever seen in its 30-year history, and came from the Tucker Family Trust, contributed by Myrna and Terry Tucker, who own FloChem on Wellington Road 124 .

The donation was unveiled and celebrated on Nov. 16 at the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton. 

The charity provides a home away from home for families from across Ontario with ill children receiving treatment at McMaster Children’s Hospital. 

"Myrna and I are deeply committed to supporting children and the wellbeing of families. the RMHC mission, the people working in this beautiful organization,” Terry said in a press release. 

“All of the care that is extended to families made it an easy to decision for us to support this charity. This gift is our way of ensuring that families across Southern Ontario can continue to find comfort and support during difficult times,” he said.
