The Guelph Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new leader.
Shakiba Shayani is stepping down from her role as president and CEO of the non-profit business advocacy organization, the chamber announced Thursday.
Shayani has been in the role since September 2019, following in the footsteps of Kithio Mwanzia who was in the role for the previous four years.
“It has been an extraordinary privilege to lead the Guelph Chamber of Commerce and collaborate with so many inspiring business and community leaders,” she said in a news release.
“I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am confident that the Chamber is poised for continued success.”
She will remain in the role “to support recruitment and transition efforts,” as the search begins for a replacement.
