Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
  • Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo
  • Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County

A period of freezing rain is expected Monday morning, followed by rain.

A warm front arriving over the regions Monday morning will sweep from west to east and cause freezing rain. Freezing rain will transition to rain as temperatures rise rapidly during the mid morning or late morning.

General rainfall amounts of 10 to 15 mm are expected. The rain will end by evening.

Untreated roads and walkways may be icy Monday morning. Caution is advised near creeks in the rain Monday afternoon.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
