Janefield Avenue will be closed to through traffic for about four weeks, beginning Nov. 25.

New water and sewer lines will be installed below Janefield Avenue, prompting a four-week shutdown set to begin later this month.

The closure, between Mason Court and Torch Lane, is being done in support of an infill development project at 35 and 41 Janefield Ave., south of College Avenue.

It’s expected to begin Nov. 25.

“Local traffic will be permitted along Janefield Avenue, however, there will be no through access at 35 & 41 Janefield Avenue,” states a post on the city’s website.

“The west sidewalk will be closed to pedestrians at 35 & 41 Janefield Avenue during construction. Please use the nearby crossings at College Avenue West and Scottsdale Drive to use the east sidewalk.”

Janefield connects College Avenue West with Scottsdale Drive, immediately west of Stone Road Mall.

Weather permitting, the road is expected to be reopened after about four weeks.
