A new set of school zone speeders will be in sight for the city’s automated speed enforcement cameras. After three months in their current spots, devices are set to be moved on Aug. 1.
They will be set up in front of:
- Resurrection Christian Academy School on Knightswood Boulevard
- Sacred Heart Catholic School on Huron Street
- Gateway Public School on Gateway Drive
- Jean Little Public School on Youngman Drive.
The cameras, which have been operating in various spots since last August, take photos of vehicles going above the posted speed limit and generate tickets for the registered owner.
They’re currently found outside:
- Ecole Arbour Vista Public School on McCann Street
- William C. Winegard Public School on Lee Street
- Central Public School on Dublin Street North
- June Avenue Public School on June Avenue.
They’ve been there since May 1 and are moved to another school zone every three months.
