City presents redesign options for three Guelph parks

Public input sought regarding Colonial Drive Park, Holland Crescent Park and Highland Park

With a trio of playground equipment replacements slated for next year, city officials are looking for public input on final design options.

People are asked to pick their favourite layout of two for each of Colonial Drive Park, Holland Crescent Park and Highview Park. An online survey will remain open until Nov. 18.

The options were crafted using community input about the type of playground features most-wanted at each location.

“Your participation helps us choose the right play equipment for your neighbourhood,” states a post on the city’s website.

“Once the designs for each playground are finalized, we’ll share them with the community and the projects will be tendered out for construction in 2025. Construction details and timelines will be shared closer to the construction start dates.”

City playground equipment is replaced about every 20 years, depending on budget approval, the post explains.
