Eramosa Physiotherapy Associates (EPA) is excited to announce their upcoming event, Hormones and High Tea, a unique and empowering afternoon dedicated to educating and supporting women navigating peri and post menopause. This event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Guelph Youth Music Centre.

Hormones and High Tea offers an opportunity for women to learn about the menopause journey in an informed, positive way, all while enjoying afternoon tea and light snacks in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Designed to help women navigate the journey of menopause with confidence, the event brings together a team of professionals, including Shirley Weir, social media influencer and founder of Menopause Chicks, with over 29,000 followers, who has been a strong advocate for women’s health. She will be joined by Meryl Da Costa, Registered Physiotherapist, Megan Dunn, Nurse Practitioner, and Heidi Smith, Registered Dietitian, to provide a comprehensive view on managing menopause.

Supporting Charity Through Empowerment

For years, EPA has been committed to giving back to the community. Through events like Hormones and High Tea, they have successfully raised and donated over $8,000 to local charitable organizations. In 2023 alone, the event raised more than $3,000 for Guelph Wellington Women in Crisis, an organization that provides vital support to women in need. This year, EPA aims to exceed that amount, continuing their tradition of charitable contributions and community impact.

"We are proud to create opportunities for women to engage in essential health discussions while making a real impact on our community," said Jackie Sinkeldam, Founder of EPA. "Hormones and High Tea is more than just an afternoon of learning—it’s a chance for women to connect, share, and support one another, all while contributing to charitable causes that matter."

Together, we can educate, empower, and inspire women to embrace their health while giving back to the community!
