Young local dancers interested in performing in The Nutcracker on the River Run Centre stage are being offered a chance to audition.
Male and female dancers between the ages of 7 and 17 can audition Saturday, Sept. 9, at Centennial CVI high school in Guelph.
The auditions are being held by Ballet Jörgen, which will perform at the River Run on Dec. 20 and Dec. 21.
It is free to audition but dancers must register beforehand.
"Selected students should be prepared to attend rehearsal for the remainder of the day on Saturday and all day Sunday," said a press release announcing the auditions.
Dancers must also commit to attend all weekly Sunday rehearsals leading up to the show.
Dancers can register for the auditions online and will be notified of their audition time by phone.
