It appears Guelph will be getting a new furniture retailer soon as national contemporary furniture retailer Structube is hiring for a new Guelph location.
According to the job postings, the home furniture store will be opening its doors in Stone Road Mall this year.
The Canadian retailer began as a family business with one store in Montreal on the corner of Sherbrooke Street and Park Avenue in in1974 and continued to grow since. According to the company website it now has over 72 locations across Canada that employ over 650 employees.
The Guelph location will be the 34th store in Ontario. The closest store is currently Kitchener.
The location is hiring a full-time store manager and assistant manager before the store officially opens.
The Stone Road Mall reopened in May as part of Stage 1 of the province's reopening strategy.
Request for comment from Stone Road Mall and Structube were not immediately returned.
