The average asking rent for residential properties across Canada saw a 4.8 per cent decline in February – the largest dip since 2021.

The asking rent locally is well above the national average of $1,857 for a one-bedroom (a 4.5 per cent decline from last year) and $2,206 for a two-bedroom (a 5.3 per cent decrease from last year).
