Update: The Guelph Fire Department reported at 11:45 p.m. Friday that the dog has been found in the rubble of the house and has been reunited with his family.

A small dog that survived Friday afternoon's gas explosion in Guelph has gone missing.
Dudley, a part dachshund part chihuahua mix, survived the blast and left the house with the homeowner who miraculously also escaped the blast unscathed.
Deputy Fire Chief Dave Elloway took to Twitter to ask people about Dudley's whereabouts.
A neighbour said her husband gathered the dog after the blast but he got loose and took off back toward the house.
He hasn't been found yet.
Missing dog from South creek Trail. If anyone has any information on Dudley’s whereabouts. He’s a part dachshund part chihuahua. He made it out of the house, and we know he was last with a person in a red jacket. Can anyone help locate him now? @GuelphFire @cityofguelph

The afternoon blast on Southcreek Trail happened around 1:30 p.m. and destroyed a detached home. Authorities have blamed a gas leak.
Meanwhile, gas and hydro workers were on scene late Friday night working at shutting off gas to the property and reconnecting hydro to several homes on the quiet cul-de-sac just south of Kortright Road that have been off for several hours.
At 10 p.m. Elloway tweeted that hydro to the homes had been restored.
"We are continuing to try to get the gas line shut off," tweeted Elloway earlier in the evening.
