Looking to be a forever home?
We are a cat rescue based in Dorset and Guelph, Ontario. We rescue felines in need and provide them with a safe and loving foster home while they gain social skills and learn to trust people. Each cat and kitten we take in receives essential veterinary services including first vaccinations, a microchip and spay or neuter. When they are ready, we find them a forever home that suits their needs.
It all started with Baby Blue
Dorset Rescue Kittens was founded in the summer of 2020 by registered veterinary technician, Cailey Seymour. Cailey has been involved with many animal rescue organizations and decided it was time to build something of her own. Dorset Rescue kittens began with a tiny 5-week old orphaned kitten named Blue in the spring of 2020. After Blue was adopted, people started reaching out to Cailey about other kittens in need. Before she knew it, she was caring for 14 kittens in her home and thus decided the rescue needed a name, thus began Dorset Rescue Kittens.
From June 2020 - December 2020, the Dorset Rescue Kittens took in 50 cats, provided them with veterinary care and found them incredible homes. In 2021, over 100 cats and kittens have already been taken in by the rescue. We rely 100% on donations and every item and monetary donation made goes directly towards cats and kittens in need.
