Notice of Public Meeting concerning a Proposed Official Plan Amendment
Take Notice that the Council of the Town of Collingwood has initiated an Official Plan Amendment under Sections 17 and 22 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 13, as amended.
And Take Notice that the Council of the Town of Collingwood will hold a public meeting on Monday February 24, 2025, on or about 2:00 pm.
Any members of the public may attend in person (Council Chambers, 97 Hurontario Street, Collingwood) or virtually by Zoom webinar to make representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan Amendment. Written submissions can also be submitted to the Town’s contact noted below.
The public meeting will take place during the regular Council meeting. For those attending virtually, a link to the webinar will be included on the February 24, 2025 Council/Committee of the Whole agenda. The Purpose of the proposed Official Plan Amendment is to provide the legislatively required policy basis for delegation of authority to staff to pass zoning by-laws that are minor in nature.
The effect of the proposed Official Plan Amendment is to delegate decision-making authority to staff on the following minor zoning by-law matters in an effort to streamline low-risk processes:
Location: The proposed Official Plan Amendment would be implemented Town-wide and therefore no key map is included with this notice.
Notice of Decision: If you wish to be notified of the decision of the County of Simcoe on the proposed Official Plan Amendment, you must make a written request to the Clerk, County of Simcoe, 1110 Highway 26, Administration Centre, Midhurst, Ontario L9X 1N6 or via email at [email protected]
