Details on the Public Meeting
Township of Severn will hold a hybrid public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997 on August 14, 2024 starting at 9:00 a.m. during the Council Meeting at our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane) to present and obtain public input on the proposed Development Charges (DC) By-Law and Development Charges (DC) Study.
Information about the DC By-law and DC Study is available online as of June 28, 2024. Copies of the proposed DC By-law and DC Study are also available for viewing at the Township's Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane).

Development charges are fees collected from developers when the Township issues building permits. These fees help pay for the cost of infrastructure required to provide municipal services to new development, such as roads, water and sewer infrastructure, and required facilities.
Participation options
All are welcome to attend the meeting or to provide verbal or written comments. All comments will form part of the public record including all verbal submissions made during the meeting.
In person
The meeting will be held at the Township’s Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane) in Council Chambers on Wednesday, August 14 at 9:00 a.m. and is open to the public. Registration is not required for in person attendance.
