Qualifications
· Post-Secondary Education in Social Services or related field or equivalent experience required
· Experience working with at risk, disadvantaged and diverse populations
· Good knowledge of community services and how to access them and able to provide advocacy for individuals needing access to them
· Must have strong organizational, computer and administrative skills, including using data bases and excel spreadsheets
· Ability to manage the organization's social media platforms including; implementing social media applications, content uploads and engaging audience
· Must have exceptional communication, customer service and teamwork skills
· This is an in-person/office position
· Experience in employment counselling or related field preferred


This position is a full-time permanent position in an Employment Counselling Resource Centre, 35 hours per week, and may require, on occasion, working evenings for special events. Compensation is $46,188 per annum, benefits after successful completion of 90 day probationary period


Job Duties:
• Client Interaction: Greet and assess clients to determine their needs for agency services. Assist with booking appointments and provide support for individuals using computer systems. Answering phones and directing calls. Assisting clients access computers and online supports
• Resume and Application Support: Write and edit resumes and cover letters, assist with online job applications, and provide guidance on job search strategies.
• Administrative Assistance: Support staff with various administrative tasks including creating and updating documents, managing social media and website content, and making follow-up and reminder calls. Updating databases and organizing information.
• Resource Management: Oversee the resource centre, ensuring that materials are current and easily accessible for clients.
• Community Resources: Help clients access additional community resources and services as needed.
Preferred Experience: Experience in similar roles involving administrative support, client interaction, and resource management is preferred.
