2022 Hope House VIP_AUCTION_banner

Thursday October 13, 2022 at noon to Tuesday October 18, 2022 at 8pm

We are hosting a charity auction on GuelphToday to support Hope House Guelph's mission to provide assistance to those in need in our community. On behalf of Hope House Guelph, we are auctioning off a VIP Limo Experience for 10 people to enjoy Hope House's Christmas Joy Home Tour on Nov. 19. The winner of the prize will enjoy champagne, pastries and gifts from local artisans while being chauffered by Red Car Limo to each home on the tour - and enjoy front-of-the-line privileges! The limo will be stocked with coffee and sweets and your tour includes a three-course dinner at Sugo on Surrey. The best part about this fun-filled day? All proceeds from the auction will support Hope House.

This auction is supported by GuelphToday, a VIP Experience Sponsor of the Christmas Joy Home Tour event.

Check out the website for details. https://www.christmasjoy.ca/

Please READ THE RULES, particularly the part about credit card authorizations. In short, each time you place a bid, the system places a hold authorization for that amount on your card. When you are outbid, the hold is released. The winning bid at the end of the auction will be captured - meaning your card is charged. We recommend you use a credit card, not a debit card for this auction. A released hold may take several days to reflect on your statement.

What happens if I win the item?
Following the conclusion of the auction, the winner will receive a confirmation email, which will provide some detail on how to pick up your item. Please check the pickup instructions for the item for the dates/times and location. For any auction related questions, please email [email protected]

OUR PROGRAMS:

         1. Food Programs

Food Market – At HOPE House we believe in both the power of food and the power of choice. Our Food Market allows community members the dignity of choosing their groceries through our innovative choice-based, bucks-based system. Much like going to the grocery store with a budget, community members walk through the aisles selecting the food and hygiene items which appeal to their needs.

Community Breakfast – Chef Kay and her team of volunteers create a community breakfast for the Royal City Mission. It is served Monday-Saturday from 10-11AM.

The Better Food Company - The Better Food Company is a social enterprise owned by Hope House and a collaborative project between Hope House and the Community Company. All proceeds from the sale of ready-to-eat meals support Hope House’s work directly.

Food Skills Class - Food Skills Classes are offered twice a month at Hope House. Each month, a different healthy and flavourful recipe will be taught by Chef Kay. Participants will take home critical knowledge about healthy food preparation, valuable technical cooking skills and a delicious meal!

North Field Food Farm - A volunteer-driven community market garden that harvests incredible fresh fruit and vegetables for our Food Market and for distribution to other food security agencies across Guelph.

Hope House Café - Our café is a warm place where everyone in our community can enjoy a warm beverage and build healthy relationships with others. Over the years, we’ve watched community members from all walks of life bond and form wonderful friendships in our café – and we look forward to seeing many more.
