Peter was a folk artist who made hundreds of dollhouses, birdhouses, and paintings. When he was only 58 years old, he had a massive stroke leaving him paralyzed on one side and no longer able to work. In the wake of the stroke, he needed to find a new purpose for his life. He had always loved old houses and, in time, he married his creativity with this passion, designing his workshop so that he could build with one hand. His art became the way he rebuilt his life and the way he connected with people around him. For almost 30 years, he created beauty and gave it away to family, friends, and many community members. In this challenging year, Linda is honoured to donate this piece of art. She hopes the new owner appreciates the devotion and skill that Peter, her dad, used over and over again, to create beauty. This dollhouse measures 30" tall, 33" wide and 14.5" deep. It is made of wood with a tempered glass top. Donated by Linda Clarke in honour or her father, Peter Clarke. Linda would love for the winning bidder to honour her father with this dollhouse.
