A Guelph woman is charged with assault after a social worker was spat upon downtown, Guelph police report.
Approximately noon Tuesday the victim called to report the assault. He was working when he observed a woman slapping another person across the face. The worker intervened and asked the woman to leave. Once they got outside the woman began yelling at passersby, then turned and spat twice on the social worker before leaving the area.
A 32-year-old woman is charged with assault and breaching a probation order.
