A Guelph man has been arrested for damaging two exam rooms at Guelph General Hospital two summers ago.

Guelph police say in August, 2023, a patient at the hospital caused a large hole in a wall by pulling at the drywall. He was moved to a second room, where he damaged an electronic card reader by repeatedly punching and kicking it. He was not arrested at the time as he was receiving treatment.

On Wednesday a 30-year-old man was located and charged with mischief under $5,000.
