Friday

Fresh Food Friday pop-up

The Hive, 349 Elizabeth St.; 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Every Friday join The Hive for fresh cut flowers, seasonal veggies and fruit and more. 

Oktoberfest

Royal City Brewing; 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Royal City Brewing’s Oktoberfest is back this weekend. Friday includes a Stein Holding competition, pretzel eating contest and other Bavarian inspired festivities. The Flamingos perform at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 plus tax. Admission includes a 20 oz welcome beer.

Waves of Solidarity: United for Lebanon and Palestine 

The bridge next to the Church of Our Lady on 28 Norfolk St.; 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
An event in solidarity with Lebanon and Palestine. Flags and candles are encouraged. Donations will be collected to provide food and aid to those in need in Lebanon. 

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Guelph Little Theatre; 7 p.m.
Join Playful Fox Productions for a live and interactive performance of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Doors open at 6:30, costumes are encouraged. Learn more and get tickets here

Saturday

Guelph Farmers’ Market

2 Gordon St.; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Check out an abundance of fresh produce, baked goods, beverages, and products from local meat producers

Eramosa River Trail parkrun and parkwalk

Eramosa River Trail at 85 York Rd.; 9 a.m. to noon
A free weekly timed 5k run, jog, and walk kicks off just east of the covered bridge near The Boathouse. Newcomers are encouraged to join at 8:45 a.m.

Guelph Fall Coin Show

Royal Canadian Legion, 51 Watson Pkwy S.; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Head to the Legion this Saturday for a wide variety of coins to buy, sell, trade and evaluate. More than 35 dealer tables as well as a kids club. Admission is $3. 

Walk for Apraxia

Riverside Park; 9:30 a.m.
Free event to raise funds for childhood apraxia, a rare motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for someone to speak. Ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m. More info here.

Trees for Guelph planting

Norm Jary Park; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
You’re invited to plant some trees during a prime planting season. You can plant one tree or plant many, and you can also take part in demonstrations and learn techniques to plant for high survival rates.

Guelph Outdoor Handmade Market

Royal City Park, 139 Gordon St.; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A local maker market filled with vendors selling a variety of goods.

Taste Real's Fall Rural Romp

Multiple locations; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Fall Rural Romp is a self-guided tour to farms, markets, nurseries, and local food and beverage businesses in Guelph. Puslinch, Guelph/Eramosa, Erin and Centre Wellington. From buffalo's to breweries, see the full list of participants here.

Celebrate Culture Days by heading to 119 Wyndham St. N for an open house and block party at Art Not Shame, to the Guelph Civic Museum to stitch in public and more. See the full schedule of events here

Ghost Ride

City Hall; 1 p.m.
Join GCAT for a ghost ride honouring Susan Bard, who was killed after being struck by a car while riding her bicycle earlier this month. 

Tree bingo at The Yorklands

785 Yorkland Rd.; 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Head to The Yorklands this Sunday to celebrate National Forestry Week with a game of tree bingo, a fun and educational game for families to enjoy together while learning about different types of trees and their characteristics.

Mabon Market

The Wooly Pub, 76 Woolwich St.; 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A 20-vendor market celebrating the autumnal equinox, with The Wooly Pub acting as the hub. There will be live music, workshops, tarot readings, special autumnal drinks and more. 

GCAT Bike The Night event

6:30 p.m., Market Square
The Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation’s 4th Annual Bike the Night Event. The free event welcomes riders of all ages and abilities to this vibrant party on wheels. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes with lights and reflectors.  

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Sunday

Sunday Antique Market

Aberfoyle Antique Market, 57 Brock Rd. S, Puslinch; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Stroll through this outdoor market with over 100 dealers selling collectibles, folk art, furniture and more. Entry is $5. 

Reconciliation Walk

Riverside Park at Green Pavilion 709 Woolwich St.; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
An hour-long self-guided walk with reading stations along the way. People are encouraged to wear orange t-shirts. Learn more here.

Kidney Walk

Guelph Golf & Country CLub, 133 Woodlawn Rd. E.; 10 a.m.
It’s the largest community fundraiser of the year for the Kidney Foundation. Support and raise funds to support crucial programs and services to help the thousands of people living with kidney disease. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Learn more here.

The Bees Knees Market

349 Elizabeth St.; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Head to The Hive for workshops on making mead, keeping bees, and how to get them ready for winter, as well as vendor market and food vendors. 

Family-friendly Oktoberfest

Royal City Brewing; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Royal City Brewing’s Oktoberfest is back this weekend. Admission is free on Sunday, and activities are directed towards families. There will be a portable climbing wall, a bouncy castle, face painting, Orbax and Pepper and so much more. Learn more here.
