Royal City Musical Productions Inc. (RCMPI), a community theatre company based in Guelph, announces that tickets are on sale for its latest production, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, running from Nov. 20 to 24, 2024, on the main stage at The River Run Centre. This family-friendly musical promises to captivate audiences with dazzling performances, vibrant sets, and the iconic songs everyone loves.
Dive under the sea with Ariel, the adventurous young mermaid, who dreams of living in the world above. Based on Disney's 1989 animated classic and featuring music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a book by Doug Wright, The Little Mermaid is an enchanting tale of love, courage, and following one’s dreams. With unforgettable songs like "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," and "Kiss the Girl," this production will take audiences on a heartfelt journey through the ocean depths and beyond.
Director Oliver Pavia knows audiences will adore this production, “Shreya Jacobs who plays Ariel is the most gifted and charming performer and she will be sure to captivate you with her talents.” Pavia also raves about the contributions and commitment of the rest of the cast and crew. “We have a team of volunteers putting in thousands of hours and contributing their talents and skills to make this an unforgettable experience. Founded in 1978, RCMPI has been a pillar of the Guelph arts community for decades.
