A trio of rap icons, including members of D12, are set to perform in Guelph this spring.
Onyx Nightclub on Wyndham Street is slated to host Obie Trice and D12 members Swifty Mcvay and Kuniva for an all-ages show on May 19 – part of a Canadian tour meant to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the artists’ first major label releases.
D12, the rap collective from Detroit that included Eminem, was perhaps best known for its early 2000s hits Purple Hills and My Band. Trice’s hits, from the same era, include We All Die Some Day and Wanna Know.
Opening the show will be Robbie G.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show.
