Cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away peacefully at Wellington Terrace in his 93rd year.

Predeceased by his wife Dorothy. His warmth, kindness and sense of humour will be missed. Wherever he travelled, he managed to find someone he knew.

Many thanks to the caring staff in the Birchdale wing of the Wellington Terrace.

Friends and family will be received for visitation at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 1pm. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm. Reception in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).

AFTERGLOW

I’d like the memory of me

to be a happy one,

I’d like to leave an afterglow

of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo

whispering softly down the ways,

of happy times and laughing times

and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve,

to dry before the sun of happy memories

that I leave behind when life is done.

Memorial contributions to Wellington Terrace would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Leslie N. Phillips in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
