The Guelph Marlin Aquatic Club have kicked off their swimming season with their first racing opportunity, which was a small meet hosted by the Marlins themselves. This meet allowed a select group of teams to come together and get back into competitive racing mode at the beginning of the season.

Laura Nicholls, the coach of the Guelph Marlins and a two-time Olympian, expressed her satisfaction with the event. She mentioned that it was a great way for swimmers to get back into racing mode, especially in a short course format. Additionally, it was an opportunity for many new swimmers who had graduated from the Blue Marlins and House League competitive groups to experience a larger competitive meet.

Looking forward, the Guelph Marlins will host another meet featuring their pre-competitive novice level swimmers, which will take place on Sunday, November 5th at the Fall Skills and Thrills Meet held at the University of Guelph pool. It seems like an exciting start to the season for the Guelph Marlins and their swimmers.
