SkyJack employees in Guelph were evacuated to the Welcome Centre of their manufacturing plant Friday morning after a transformer across the street caught fire.
An employee told 570 News that hundreds of people were in the Welcome Centre until further notice, and that power was out except for emergency lighting.
Guelph Police confirmed that a transformer across from the plant did explode.
