A grassroots organization looking to get "biases and indoctrination" out of schools is holding a coast-to-coast march later this month.

A group called Hands Off Our Kids will hold the #1MillionMarch4Children Sept. 20 at city halls and legislatures in Canada and the United States, including Guelph.

According to the Guelph event page on Facebook, a gathering is expected at 9 a.m. at Guelph City Hall, with a march happening at 11 a.m.

Forty-two members have joined the public Facebook group promoting the local event.

The group's official site said it's mission is "safeguarding parental rights and advocating for the removal of intrusive elements of sexual orientation and gender ideology from the educational system."

It claims it is focused on protecting children against "LGBTQIA+ ideology in school system," but "not to fight back against the LGBTQ community."

"Our primary concern is indoctrination of children in public schools and the forceful introduction of ideologies to children and the erosion of parental rights in children’s education," the group states in it's Frequently Asked Questions section.

The website says the march will take place in over a dozen Canadian cities and 35 cities in the United States.
