GuelphToday received the following Letter to the Editor from reader, Kent Hunter-Duvar, in regards to automated speed enforcement:
I've followed the debate on automated speed enforcement with interest. I have little sympathy for those who habitually exceed the posted limit collecting multiple infractions and fines due to processing delays. However today I discovered that under O. Reg. 398/19 that permits photo radar to be used, the act requires tickets be mailed or couriered within 23 days.
Do Guelph's processing times meet this standard?
From the articles and responses to them I've read, I suspect not.
