It is with great sadness that we announce that Penny Suzette Weber passed peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus on May 3rd ,2024, in her 64th year.

Penny enjoyed a loving relationship with her husband Stephen for 21 years with whom she partnered to run Highlander Way Driving School in Fergus. She was preceded in death by her sister Jerrianne and her parents Jere Camp and Mary Ann Camp (Walker). Penny is survived by her husband Stephen, her brother Thomas (Tammy) Camp Sr.; Steve and Penny’s daughters Palina (Ryan) Panozzo; Jillian (Vijay) Paul; and their sons Erik (Amy) Christopherson; and Jared Weber. She was an adoring “Memaw” to her 14 grandchildren.

Penny’s family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Lund and the staff at the Oncology department at Groves Hospital. Also helping her greatly on her difficult battle with cancer were Leanne and Samantha from Bayshore Homecare Solutions with their in-home visits. Dr. Phillips also provided much support.

Penny was a southern girl born in Missouri and her life was filled with the joy of her family and friends. She was a bright beautiful soul that showed nothing but love and kindness to everyone whose life she touched. Penny loved her pets, gardening, playing games, her hobbies including crocheting most of which she gladly gave as gifts to others. Vacations in Sauble Beach were always enjoyed.  She was a very caring person who would always want to be there for others in their times of need. Her father once said that her heart was the size of a watermelon, and she wore it on her sleeve. Many will miss the twinkle in her eye and infectious laugh.

As per Penny’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be planned by family and held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).

Memorial contributions to the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Penny S. Weber in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
