Doors Open Guelph coming this weekend

This Saturday, the doors of some of Guelph’s hidden gems open up to the community.

Doors Open Guelph goes Apr. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering free guided tours of eleven sites across the city.

These sites are considered some of Guelph’s most architecturally, historically and culturally significant sites.

This year’s sites for the Doors Open Guelph event are:

  • Guelph Little Theatre (176 Morris St.)
  • Dublin Street United Church (68 Suffolk St. W.)
  • Guelph City Greenhouses (709 Woolwich St.)
  • Guelph City Hall (1 Carden St.)
  • Provincial Offenses Courthouse (59 Carden St.)
  • Guelph Masonic Centre (21 Chapel Ln.)
  • Trails Open: The Rapids Sidetrail (45 Speedvale Ave. E. in the rear parking lot)
  • Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum (762 Woolwich St.)
  • Heritage Hall (83 Essex St.)
  • Ed Video, Artworks Gallery Guelph, Azure Photography and Lost Aviators Coffee building (404 York Rd.)
  • Guelph Research and Development Centre (93 Stone Rd. W.)

In addition, a Friday event is being introduced called Doors Open After Dark.

It's being held at the Guelph Civic Museum on Apr. 26 from 5 p.m. to midnight, and will feature performances, interactive experiences and behind-the-scenes tours.
