CENTRE WELLINGTON – An annual outdoor art gallery has returned to the streets of Elora and Fergus.
The sculptures that are part of the Elora Sculpture Project have been installed throughout Centre Wellington. The 18 submissions were selected by a jury from working artists across Canada. Past participants have ranged from students to accomplished professional artists.
Most are in Elora, with many found in the Elora Green Space or around the Dalby Building downtown, but there are a few in Fergus in the river walk and the Fergus Curling Club.
Plaques detailing the artist and the name of the art piece will be installed at a later time and a map showing the location of each piece will be available in June.
Most of the sculptures are offered for sale.
The sculpture project was first launched in 2010 and is managed by a group of volunteers. Funding for it is provided by local businesses, citizen donors and the BIAs.
